Florida vs. NC vs. Delaware, moving advice?

I'm currently living in Virginia and am going to ODU. I'm a rising sophomore. I moved from Newport News, to Richmond, to Norfolk. Don't get me wrong. I love Norfolk and I have a wonderful life there. But I'm only 18. There are very few times in your life where you can just pick up and go and I have this innate fear of never getting out of here. Ever. I know that if I don't leave now I might never. So, my question is...my choices are between Sarasota, FL, Wilmington, NC and pretty much any area in Delaware. I'm leaning more towards Delaware because there's so much more there for me, plus it's close to PA, NY, and NJ. The economy sucks in FL and I've been in Virginia for 18 years so going further south isn't looking too hot. People are ridiculously close-minded here and I know Wilmington is diverse but I don't want to be stuck in a pocket and not be able to explore the new state I live in and not enjoy it. This has become a ramble. Any thoughts?
